TEACH Grant
The TEACH grant provides up to $4000 per year for four years for undergraduates and up to $4000 per year for two years graduate students. Students must be completing programs that leads to licensure in a high need area (as identified by the federal government). Students who receive the TEACH grant, sign an agreement to serve and promise to pay. The teaching obligation is 4 years within 8 years of completing the program, they must teach be highly qualified, teach full time in the high need area and teach in a school for low income students. If there service agreement is not met, their grant becomes an unsubsidized Stafford Loan, currently at 6.8% interest. Interest begins accruing from the point the grant originated.
