Degrees Offered: M.Ed. in SLP through the Outreach Program.
NOTE: The next program will begin June 2010 and applications will be due Feb 1 2010.
This graduate program prepares students who have a bachelor's degree in communicative disorders or the equivalent to become nationally certified and state licensed professional speech-language pathologists (SLP). Utah students may participate in this program partially at a distance and partially on campus.
Although students who graduate from the program are well prepared to practice in any professional setting, the secondary goal of the program is to prepare students to help meet the critical shortage of SLPs in the public and charter schools of Utah, particularly in rural areas of the state. Upon graduating, students will receive an M.Ed. degree. The graduate program is nationally accredited by the accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CAA-ASHA).
